I would fixate on this strip and her luscious mane every time this character appeared, eventually clipping from the daily newspaper and storing every panel that featured her. And the Sunday "funnies" were always in color! Do any other old timers remember this strip and was your earlier reaction, perhaps giving a clue to your present fetishism. the same as mine?
