Sorry to hear about this. As others have said, this is very common, and we cannot expect our wives to keep their hair at our preferred length forever. Sometimes I look at all these Rapunzel girls on Instagram and think, if all these girls can have super long hair, so can my wife - but unfortunately this is not realistic.

I am going through something similar at the moment. My wife had gorgeous thick long black waist length hair, but she was tired with all the maintenance. She cut got a layered cut with more than several inches cut off in length. There is definitely a slight loss of physical attraction, but we need to remember all the other reasons we love our wives, and just hope they let their hair grow back. I am trying to give my wife small gentle nudges here and there, saying things like "I miss your long hair baby" while having cuddles, so it does not come off as a harsh thing to say. She has responded to that multiple times saying she will grow it back out for me, she just needed a break.
